About Us

Established in 2000, the Kyle Miller Memorial Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help those who have been afflicted with cancer and other illnesses, giving back to the community. The Kyle Miller College Showcase has been the primary fundraiser to raise money to give to others in need.  Proceeds from the tournament are donated in memory of Kyle Miller, dubbed "Mr. Softball". 

About Kyle

In 1974, at the young age of four, Kyle was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Given a slim chance of survival, Kyle was put through surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. After many treatments, Kyle beat brain cancer. During his childhood  years he found a passion for softball when he became a batboy for the Patriot Queens. He immersed himself in the game, continuing his involvement during his high school years as the student manager for the Allen high school softball team. After eighteen years of remission, Kyle was diagnosed with bone cancer at the age of twenty-three, which ultimately would take his life just a year after his diagnosis. Through it all, Kyle always had a smile on this face. Though his life was sadly cut short, he lived his life to the fullest and was a true light. If you were lucky enough to know him, you understand just how truly special of a person Kyle was.

In 1995, to carry on Kyle's legacy and his passion for softball, a tournament was started in his name. Shortly afterward, a non-profit was developed. What started as a small tournament has turned into twenty plus years of fundraising for our community in Kyle's honor. 
Our organization is made up of many individuals who were impacted by Kyle, his memory, and story.
Founded by his parents, Charlotte and Dale Miller, with brother, Kevin, the organization gives thanks to the dedicated family, friends, and volunteers who make everything possible, allowing us to give back through our organization.

How it Helps

The Kyle Miller Memorial, Inc. has been able to give back to the community in a variety of ways. A few highlights consist of:
  • Donations to families and children with cancer - medical bills, transportation, medical devices, food, etc.
  • Kyles Korner - children's play area located at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Allentown
  • Fish tank - located on the pediatric floor of Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. 
  • Patriot's Park Scoreboard in memory of Kyle
  • Donated to Toys for Tots
  • Sponsored a dream through Dream Come True
  • Adopted a family - Christmas gift donations to families in need
  • Awarded over $50,000.00 in scholarships
